Rock-n-Roll
Materials: Large rock/stone, long lengths of string, Masking tape
Prep: Make a starting line and finish line using the tape, cut the string in long pieces.
Activity: Place large stones and string at one end of the room, at the starting line. Explain to students that when you say go they must get in teams of three or four, grab one piece of string each, and choose a rock to move. Groups must move the rock across the finish line using only the string. They cannot touch the rock with their hands at all.
Alternate idea #1: Make this more difficult by allowing students to touch only one end of the string, forcing students to work together using one length of string.
Debrief: Teamwork.
